Macbeth - Reflections
Posted July 31, 06 by AlBaraaIn May of 2003, myself and a few others were assigned to do a “film” of the Scene 8 and 9 of Shakespeare’s Macbeth Act 5. We got together one morning:
- Prepared the plan in 2 hours.
- Began practicing for about 1 hour
- Filmed at the park using two Sony D8 camcorders for about 8 hours.
- Spent about 50 hours editing on an iMac
The following was the result.
This was my second attempt at making a movie ever. My first time ever editing on a computer.
Lessons:
- Working with a team makes the job much easier.
- When it comes to scripts, memorizing them before the filming date really helps.
- Having backup props is a good idea, especially when the one you are using keeps getting broken.
